What Video Game Tech Can Help Us In Real Life?

Throughout the last decade, video games have shown us the most amazing pieces of fictional technology advances ever. From the Portal Gun from Portal to the BFG from DOOM, video games just give us plenty of things to look forward to in the future. But what actual video game tech can we use to function in the modern world?

First things first: What advances is science making now to even predict what could come in the future? Well, as far as we know, nothing. Sorry, guys.

Even though nothing is in the works currently, what could we use in real life? Here are four basic video game tech that can be helpful in real life:

1. Portal Gun, Portal

VIDEO GAME USE: Though as ridiculous and laggy as it seems, the idea is great. Use an automatic portal dispenser to help solve puzzles and defeat giant robots.
REAL LIFE USE: The Portal Gun would be great to getting around the house, school, office, etc. Where the portal goes, you go.

2. Gravity Gun, Half-Life 2:

VIDEO GAME USE: The BFG of Half-Life, the Zero Point Energy Field Manipulator is a gun that disrupts the field of gravity and controls it. Niiice.
REAL LIFE USE: Perfect for getting rid of road blocks, writers blocks, and that pesky brat across the street. Also useful against pervs.

3. Poké Ball, Pokémon:

VIDEO GAME USE: Catch wild monsters with a ball. WHAT SORCERY IS THIS?!?!
REAL LIFE USE: *Please refer to "Video Game Use*

4. Vaccuum, Luigi's Mansion

VIDEO GAME USE: Catch ghosts.
REAL LIFE USE: Whatever you're little heart desires. >:3

Sure, Aperture Science may not be real and we can't expect anything too cool to come along for a while, but we just have to wait and see what the world comes up with.

And as always, Gamers of the Nations, Rage On.

Top 10 Favorite Pokemon

Pokemon is one of the biggest video game series to date. Personally, I actually LIKE Pokemon and there are some Pokemon you just gotta catch. So here are my Top 10 Favorite Pokemon. :)

10) Keldeo- Colt Pokemon

Though Keldeo is just starting out as a Pokemon, after being released in Pokemon White and Black and starring as the main Pokemon in the movie Kyurem and The Swords Of Justice, Keldeo is a pretty strong Pokemon. Keldeo is so strong that he deserves to be on this list.

9) Ditto- Transform Pokemon

It's as simple as this: DITTO CAN BE ANY POKEMON.

8) Ninetails- Fox Pokemon

I love this Pokemon because it constantly reminds me of the Nine-Tailed Fox from the hit maga series, Naruto. And because I'm such a big anime freak, of COURSE I love this Pokemon!

7) Dialga- Temporal Pokemon

Probably one of the best Legendary Pokemon ever, Dialga's powers are still unknown to us! It's amazing how strong this Pokemon is while it's so mysterious! Just gotta love it.

6) Sinvy- Grass Snake Pokemon

For me, out of all the grass-type Starters, Snivy is absolutely the best. Snivy's attacks quickly get stronger and stronger, yet remains SO CUTE!

5) Pikachu- Mouse Pokemon

The most iconic Pokemon to-date, Pikachu is truly awesome. Evolving from the adorable Pichu, Pikachu's power literally increases twice as much. Plus, Pikachu is just so AWESOME! Sweet and to the point, Pikacu is one of a kind.

4) Victini- Victory Pokemon

Victini, although been around for 2 years, is truly one of a kind. Especially because he's of a limited breed of Pokemon. Even so, the legendary is strong and can give a run for your PokeDollars!

3) Arceus- Alpha Pokemon

Although this Pokemon has almost no end to power, Arceus is one of the most powerful Pokemon ever. 'Nuff said.

2) Snorlax- Sleeping Pokemon

This is may be one of the most useless Pokemon ever but he's... just... original...

1) Darkrai- Pitch-Black Pokemon

One of the creepiest and most epic Pokemon ever, Darkrai is just 'effin AMAZING. According to Bulbapedia, Darkrai is known for its ability to put people and Pokémon in endless nightmares only stopped if close to a lunar wing from Cresselia. It can become a shadow and escape danger or contact of humans, but it is still capable to take damage by special attacks (e.g.: Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, Water Pulse, etc.) in this state. It is also capable of little human speech. In The Rise of Darkrai, it was shown its power was little of that of Dialga and Palkia.

AND AS ALWAYS, RAGE ON.

E-Mail From Nintendo

Yesterday, I e-mailed Nintendo of America to talk about the upcoming shut down of the Flipnote Hatena service for the Nintendo DSi system. They actually replied! >^< Here's the official e-mail:

Greetings C.J,
Thank you for sharing your feedback about Flipnote Hatena. First off, I wanted to let you know that we do not use automated programs, and that our employees here at Nintendo read and answer each and every email that we receive. As an avid user of Flipnote Hatena myself, I can certainly understand your disappointed regarding the recent news about this service. Rest assured that everything you've mentioned in your email about Flipnote Hatena and Flipnote Studio 3D has been documented and will be passed along to our other departments at the company. Even if it isn't positive, we always appreciate hearing what's important to our fans.

At this time, I can only confirm that the Flipnote Hatena service will no longer be available after May 31st, 2013. The reason for this is that we are transferring the current services to the new services since Flipnote Studio 3D will be released soon. We apologize for DSiWare Flipnote Studio users, but we appreciate your understanding and continued support.

Sincerely,
Kevin Anderson

Subject: Flipnote Hatena for Nintendo DSi/DSi XL

Dear Nintendo,

I am a loyal user of the Flipnote Hatena service that you have provided on your handheld, the Nintendo DSi. I've only been using the service for a year since February and I love it. The friendships I made, the fans I earned. They all were hard-earned with dedication. In fact, I was so dedicated to being great, I almost failed school just to keep my progress going (I brought myself back, though). So when I heard the announcement that you were shutting down the Flipnote Hatena service effective as of May 31st, 2013, just to replace it with a similar service for the Nintendo 3DS, I actually got angry. The service is doing perfectly fine on the DSi on it's own so why did you decide to shut it down? There are millions of children and teens using the service daily but can't afford the Nintendo 3DS (I know I can't afford it). So keep the service up for those who can't afford another handheld. Also, I know the Flipnote 3D application for the 3DS is supposed to be better in almost every single way but do you really need to charge money to post Flipnotes? That evidence right there proves that you are trying to possibly get more money to make up for 2012, when the 3DS sales began to drop. Or it proves that you are purposely focusing more on the 3DS than on the regular DS and DSi systems. I, for one, think that it's kind of selfish, only focusing on one, specific handheld while its fellow brethren are just left to lurk in the shadows. As I pointed out before, Not everybody has a 3DS so it seems kind-of unfair that you would be singling them out. Finally, again, as mentioned, millions upon millions of people use the service daily, making it extremely popular among those who use it. Not to mention when you introduced the Nintendo DSi console back in 2008/2009, it, among others, was one of your focused selling points. So if it's so popular, why are you just pushing it aside, like it's worth nothing anymore?
In conclusion, I believe that you are making a mistake, Nintendo. I furthermore go on to say that you are truly going to upset tens-of-thousands of loyal gamers, future animators, and loyal Nintendo fans by dismissing the Flipnote Hatena service. I hope you can respond to this e-mail soon. But please, I'd rather much ask to have an actual representative of the Nintendo Corporation reply to this than a programmed, automatic response machine that always sends a response that matches along the lines of: "Thank you for contacting us. We are happy to know of your opinions on how we are doing." Sorry, just a preference of mine.To bring this back to the main focus of this e-mail, please consider keeping the Flipnote Hatena service online for those with a Nintendo DSi or DSi XL. I would be truly grateful, as would all those who use the service itself.

Sincerely Yours,

ATTENTION ALL FLIPNOTE HATENA USERS!

Nintendo has announced that effective May 31, 2013, Flipnote Hatena for the Nintendo DSi/DSi XL will be shut down permanently. As a creator, this means my time will be up soon. I'm gonna miss my 200+ fans on the service... I've only been on for a year and I know it's gonna be hard without it. But to make up for it, Nintendo will be introducing Flipnote Studio 3D for the Nintendo 3DS.

Problem: Me no got 3DS. So I gotta ask... Is Nintendo focusing to much on the 3DS to make up for it's bad sales when it released? This seems like some form of scam and me no like it. Leave a comment or something... And to my Flipnote Hatena fans: Good bye. I'm gonna miss you all. <:)

Ubisoft Announces Assassin's Creed 4!!!!!

Finally. After weeks upon weeks of waiting, Ubisoft finally put us out of our misery and officially announced the next installment of the Assassin's Creed franchise. The game is called "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag."

Although no infomation has been revealed except which consoles the game will be available on, we can automatically assume this will be inspired by the age of pirates. Now we can just hope and pray for 3 things:

1) We can kill the infamous pirate, Black Beard.
2) There's no new Eden-related treasure that is in the game
3) You can kill anybody and everybody in the game because you are a pirate.

Portal and/or Half Life Movie? Why Not!

Earlier this year, world-famous movie director Michael Bay said he may be working on a new Portal and/or Half Life movie, inspired by the popular video game sagas. Only one problem, Bay: How can you make a movie based on a video game with silent protagonists?

Let's be honest, people: This can't work. In both Portal and Half Life, the heroes are absolutely SILENT. Meaning, if Bay were to give Chell and Gordon Freeman lines or something in these possible theatrical adaptions, they would have to somehow work with the story. But as we all know, you can't make a video game movie because nobody gets a good story. Remember the Super Mario Bros. Movie from 1993? That movie was probably one of the worst movies ever made. So much of the original concepts from Nintendo's iconic plumber had literally been flushed down the toilet. Also, remember the movie Dragonball: Evolution? The horrible modern-day adaptation of the infamous Dragon Ball series that obviously got low reviews and tons of fan hate? There just can't be a GOOD video game movie.

Unless Bay were to actually make these movies based on the storyline of the games ENTIRELY and not change anything about it, (and include a LOT of cool CGI and explosions) then we've got nothing to lose. Only time will tell.

Top 10 Most Annoying Video Game Characters

There are just some video game characters that we just wish were dead. Especially me because sometimes, I    love the game, I just HATE the characters. So here's my Top 10 List of the Worst Video Game Characters.

10) Wario and Waluigi- Super Mario Series:

The supposed "evil duo" of Nintendo's ever popular Mario games aren't just stupid, but are just annoying. These guys are so dumb, so ridiculous, how they are even capable enough to play Mario Party or Mario Kart just astounds me.

9) Slenderman- Slender:
The idea behind the game is perfect. Force some unlucky gamer to collect some pages spread throughout a mysterious forest where a legend-based monster lurks. But the reason that Slenderman is ranked on this list is because this guy has been in so many spin-offs and parodies, he's just not scary anymore.

8) Slime- Dragon Quest Franchise:

These little jerks are one of the first things you encounter in this infamous game franchise. Not only are this things pesky and annoying, they just have this constant stupid look on their face, even when they die.

7) Gordon Freeman- Half-Life Series:

I bet you're probably screaming at your screen, saying stuff like, "WHY IS THIS GUY ON THE LIST?!?" Well, this guy just isn't cool. So what if he's a scientist. He says absolutely NOTHING throughout both games and unless I want to find a way to win, I want to know what's on this guy's mind before I go off on a creepy adventure.

6) Toad- Super Mario Series:

There are so many Toads in the Mushroom Kingdom, it's kinda annoying. I mean, listen closely and who wouldn't be annoyed by how these little guys talk?

5) Claptrap- Borderlands Series:

It's ironic how this guy tries to help you get introduced to the controls and story throughout the game but does absolutely nothing to help you when you're up against some scary monsters. Also, he's got the most annoying robot voice, I think, in video game history. In other words... Claptrap's useless junk. Sorry man.

4) Eggplant Wizard- Kid Icarus:

Because you're definitely EVIL if you turn a kid into an eggplant.

3) Amy and Tails- Sonic the Hedgehog Series:

This two have to be the most annoying and worthless furry, animal things I've ever seen. Amy, on her unending quest to win Sonic's heart and Tails, using his super intelligence to make you feel dumber than you already do for playing these stupid games.

2) Scorpion- Mortal Kombat Series:

Once you are grabbed by Scorpion's chain, you're basically done for. He will literally strike to kill, no matter what it takes. Thus, making him not only hard to beat but annoying as well.

1) Navi- Legend of Zelda Series:

I honestly don't know what's worse: Having to listen to that idiot fairy keep saying "Hay, Hey, Hey, Hey..." like he's a record or actually being forced to cooperate with him. This fairy has caused so much rage over the years, no wonder he's one of the most hated video game characters of all time! If only Navi could just fly around and glow, that wouldn't be so bad. That mouth of his is a true issue and that's what makes him number one.

And As Always, Rage On.
