Link, Hyrule Warriors |
Shia, Hyrule Warriors |
But before I go on with anything else, I just want to say one thing: what's up with game designers and scarves? I mean, first there was Sonic Boom! but this? I mean this is just ridiculous. I get they want to bring a new kind-of feel to each game but your main character isn't a hipster! Unless Link is a hipster... hm... a question for another day. The point is that I hate the idea of characters having scarves. That's it. Moving on.
Time to get serious and talk about the important stuff:
- The game will (hopefully) be released on Thursday, August 14th, 2014 in retail stores and on the Wii U's eShop. According to nintendonews.com, there are 4 total ways to get the game:
- Retail: about $79
- eShop: about $69
- Premium Box Set: about $119
- Treasure Box Set: -price not confirmed-
- Link is not an elf boy exactly this time around. Much like he was a blacksmith's apprentice in A Link Between Worlds, Link changes occupations to become a solider in this upcoming title.
- Princess Zelda (who has no current released design) has been captured by a new enemy named Shia
- Impa makes her return and is a PLAYABLE CHARACTER. MY LIFE IS NOW COMPLETE.
- A new element has been added to gameplay: certain attributes of weapons affect your fighting. So, for example, a light sword would make you faster, since you are not being weighed down by any heavy metal.
- Weapons can be improved with the new upgrading system.
- Classic items like bombs make their return.
- Speaking of classic, the infamous Spin Attack makes it return.
- Three new enemies have been confirmed: Wizuro, Valga, and Shia
- Hyrule Warriors will be playable at E3 2014
If you'd like to have your eyes gorged out of their sockets by the beauty of this game, please check out the official website to see some amazing screenshots. But keep in mind that the website is kinda in Japanese since it was released the day of the writing of this article so just deal with it.
Ok. Personal Opinion time. This is the most beautiful Zelda game to date. I loved Skyward Sword but Hyrule Warriors shows exactly what the Wii U is capable of with its new engine. So, Microsoft and Sony fans: you mad, bro? You wish you could a gorgeous Zelda game like this but noooope. Last time Nintendo tried to something with another member of the Big 3, they accidentally created the Playstation.
But anyways, what do you guys think of the new Zelda game? Do you love it or hate it? Leave me a Comment in the Comments section below :)
And As Always, Gamers of the Nations, RAGE ON and I'll see you next time!
