TIME2EXPLAIN - Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire: Primal Reversions

Can't tell if this is fan art or not but at least we see Primal Kygore and Groudon
The latest installments of the world-famous Pokemon franchise come to the 3DS once again in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. If you couldn't figure it out already, these two new games are actually re-makes of the Generation III titles, Ruby and Sapphire. This isn't that uncommon in the Pokemon franchise, actually, as Generation III also gave us FireRed and LeafGreen, which were re-makes of Generation I's Red and Green (or Blue if you lived in the United States) and Generation IV gave us HeartGold and SoulSilver, which were re-makes of Generation II's Gold and Silver.

Mega Rayquaza in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will, since it's on the 3DS, will contain certain elements from the previous entries, X and Y. Elements like 3D environments, 3D player and Pokemon models, and even Mega Evolution, which evolve certain Pokemon to a third or fourth stage. The fact Mega Evolution was added in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire made some fans question Game Freak's intentions with these new games but the company recently made an announcement that completely changes how players will look at certain Pokemon: Primal Reversion.

Primal Reversion is an almost "devolution," as it returns certain Pokemon into their primal form. Think of this as almost like a backwards Mega Evolution.

So what Pokemon are capable of Primal Reversion? Well, as of the writing of this article, only the title's main legendaries, Kyogre and Groudon. But these forms have been seen before by Dialga in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. But sadly, the third main legendary, Rayquaza, does not get a Primal Reversion but instead a Mega Evolution. According to the lore, Rayquaza may have actually created Mega Evolutions but only time will tell.

Well, what do you guys think? Will you buy Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire for this new concept of evolving Pokemon? Or is it just plain ridiculous? Let me know in the Comments.
